His fix resolves the thumbnail and file preview feature when you install Adobe Reader (which is still only available in 32bit) in 64bit Windows which Adobe have not seemed to work out for over 3 years now. Leo Davidson recently posted a fix for Adobe Reader integration on 64bit Windows. ![]()

Milestones are displayed as 1-day activities, but we could annotate all Milestones with an “M” so they are more obvious, or use the “% complete” field to turn them into “black” data points on the chart (which is what we did). There is inevitably a trade-off between usability and functionality so, while this template enabled us to show dependencies, it will only allow one per activity. The Gadget is on a separate sheet and gives this output: The spreadsheet comprises two parts: data entry and the Gantt Gadget. I thought it might be useful to summarise my experience and share some learning points. Recently, I was asked to help a client put together a project plan and they are frequent users of Google Docs, so it seemed it would be appropriate to adopt the Google Gantt Chart for this piece of work. As of August 5, 2013, all gadgets will be deleted. I’ve also posted a video of a Google Spreadsheet Gadget for producing Gantt Charts.Įditor’s Note: Google has stopped supporting all gadgets associated with Google Spreadsheets. See this Wikipedia article. I would also recommend using Trim Enabler to enable TRIM on your new SSD. The first thing you’ll want to do is to go to System Preferences>Startup Disk and select your new SSD as your startup drive. You’re almost finished… Now that you have your cloned SSD in your hard drive bay, you should be able to hold down the option key and boot from the SSD. Be sure to visit the OWC video installation page, or the numerous videos on YouTube, about installing the drive into your MacBook Pro. Then just boot from the enclosed drive and use Disk Utility to format the SSD and clone the contents of your hard drive onto your SSD as noted above. Alternately, you can just go ahead and install your SSD into your MacBook Pro (endless number of DIY videos online – see OWC’s Installation Videos - ) and put your hard drive into the USB enclosure and boot from it. You’ll know in a few seconds if your clone was successful. After the clone is complete, restart your computer whilst holding down the option key and select the SSD as the boot drive. If you are running Lion or Mountain Lion, choose the option to copy the Recovery Partition to the SSD. Then use Carbon Copy Cloner to clone your hard drive to the SSD. Use Disk Utility (Applications>Utilities folder) to format the SSD, erasing it and formatting as “Mac OS Extended (Journaled)” with a single GUID partition. We’ll examine both ways here: Install the SSD into your USB enclosure and plug it up. Where ICQ differed from other IM solutions of the time is that it was the first to truly focus on people wanting one to one conversations, and to use the individual user account format we are so familiar today. The name is a clever take on the phrase ‘I Seek You’, and the platform was developed by an Israeli company, Mirabilis, in 1996. While not the very first instant messenger (IM) service, there is no argument that it was ICQ that set the standards, and that yielded influence that is still seen in today’s IM services.
